Significant industry for the national economy of the Republic of Belarus - light industry, namely the textile and clothing industry is analyzed in the article. Concepts and ways to improve the competitiveness of enterprises are considered. Analysis of the state of textile and clothing industry in the Republic of Belarus on the basis of statistical data is held. Value chain of the textile and clothing industry is compiled and analyzed. Negative trends in the development of partnerships for textile and clothing production are indicated. Directions of forming partnerships for the development and extension of the value chain to improve the competitiveness of the textile and clothing industry are offered.
