AbstractThe article presents the results of a study of the role of small and medium enterprises: 1) in solving current problems of the country's economy, 2) the possibilities of including small and medium enterprises in innovative development strategies, 3) the degree and speed of adaptation of small and medium enterprises to changing business conditions. The studies were conducted on the basis of official statistical information of the Republic of Belarus. The conclusions were made: 1) the development of small and medium enterprises coincides in dynamics with the country's economy as a whole, 2) SMEs have limited opportunities to solve current problems; 3) their transformations are more efficient from the point of view of business; 4) the goals and objectives of the state and business at the present stage are contradictory. The specifics of the country requires the development of adequate measures for the development of the business environment. |
