| Development of concepts in rheology, structure formation, dispersion and modification of natural systems. Discovery of factors that determine the structure of peat. Study of the hydrophilicity, heat and mass transfer and rheology of organic-genic natural dispersed materials. Development of peat classification by the content of cathions and sorbed moisture, the equations for calculating the main features of the peat composition and properties. Formulation of the principles of physicochemical peat mechanics. Discovery of patterns of the transport of moisture and ions during the peat drying and freezing. Identification of the main directions of the use of peat in economy based on the proposed classification. Study of the migration and diffusion of radionuclides in natural media. Study of the main environmental problems and peculiarities of nature management in the Republic of Belarus. Investigation of the composition and properties of brown coal and oil shale deposits of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the main areas of their integrated processing. | |
