Abstract

The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the suitability of artificial leathers for shaping the upper of a shoe according to the proposed method for assessing deformation properties.

The object of research is natural and artificial leather used for the production of shoes by the internal molding method.

Results of the work – a comparative analysis of the suitability of artificial leathers for forming the upper of a shoe is presented according to the developed method for assessing deformation properties.

The field of application of the results is the shoe industry.

The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the list of indicators that should be taken into account when obtaining a comprehensive assessment of the deformation properties of materials is substantiated, namely: tensile strength, elongation at a stress of 10 MPa, tensile coefficient and uniformity coefficient. The latter will make it possible to determine the degree of suitability of materials for molding, as well as the acquisition and preservation of the shape of the shoe in the process of its exploitation.
