ABSTRACTThe article investigates the physical and mechanical properties and quality characteristics of long scutched flax, dressed flax fiber and linen waste. Regression models were built for dependency of breaking load, flexibility, the coefficient of variation for breaking load, the coefficient of variation for flexibility, color group, length of long scutched flax fiber on the quality index (number). A new method of estimating the long scotched flax fiber spinning ability for the numbers 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 was developed. As a result of the control carding, implemented under production conditions of RUPTE «Orsha Linen Mill», new technique provided 56.1 % of long scutched flax quality grades satisfaction of the requirements of industry norms, against 20.3 % with the methodology approved by the current standard. |
