abstract

In order to determine the effect of the application of vacuum-plasma coatings on the service proper­ties of the bearings the effect of TiN coating on the geometric characteristics (roundness, different size, facetness etc.)of the rolling elements of the angu­lar contact ball bearing MPZ 6305 is studied in this paper. The influence of the coating on the surface roughness and waviness of spherical substrates is studied.. Also, comparative trials of bearings are con­ducted and the influence of vacuum plasma spraying of the rollers on the noise and vibration characteris­tics of the bearing is established.
