Abstract

The aim of the paper was to research the influence of the content of polyvinyl alcohol Arkofil PPL (Archroma, Switzerland) in the electrospinning solution on the structure of nanofibrous material for medical and cosmetic purposes. As a result of an experimental study it was found that with an increase in the PVA content from 10 to 14 % the viscosity of the spinning solution increases 5 times and significantly exceeds the recommended values. Surface tension and specific volumetric electrical conductivity are almost independent on the concentration of polyvinyl alcohol and correspond to the recommended values. Experimental production of samples of nanofiber coatings and analysis of electronic images of their structure have proved that the material formed from a solution containing 14 % PVA does not contain visible defects and has a uniform distribution of nanofibers over the diameter. This indicates the advisability of using it as a fiber-forming composition for obtaining materials by the method of electrospinning.
